Meet the Speakers from Hulu, Jackson State University and JUDY

Collaboration – oftentimes, it’s what makes social media go ‘round. As we share our photos, our Stories, daily thoughts and more, it takes a team effort to elevate that content until it reaches the masses. Gaming the intelligent algorithms on social media takes a calculated amount of collaboration too, as we build communities of dedicated followers online.

Not only that, but behind the scenes of your favorite brands’ social media channel lies a network of collaborators. Social media managers and designers, content marketers and paid media specialists. Even in the instances where there’s one person wearing many hats, it takes a village – and the support of your fans and followers – to make an impact on social media.

We’re excited to sit down with three social media managers on June 24 to discuss collaboration and community. During 20/21 Vision: The Collaboration Summit, a day of inspiration and connection, we’re hosting a social media roundtable titled Building Community Through Collaboration.

Read on to learn about each Social Pro joining us on June 24 and register today for this special virtual event.

Meet the Speakers

Kentrice S. Rush is the digital media manager at Jackson State University (JSU), Mississippi’s Urban University where they are “challenging minds and changing lives.” During her time at JSU, the HBCU has achieved much success on social media, including its Facebook page ranking third among NCAA Division I universities nationwide. Kentrice’s videography has been shared by Time Magazine and YouTube Originals, and her photography has been used in stories by The Washington Post, CBS Sports, and the TODAY Show. In 2017, Kentrice was one of PhotoShelter’s Libris Iconic Images award recipients.

Currently serving as Hulu’s Social Engagement Manager, Carina Petrillo is a budding Social Pro in the media industry. A graduate from Rutgers University, Carina landed her first social experience on MTV’s Brand Social team, where she produced original social-first content and ran MTV’s Twitter account for two years. Today, she’s overseeing Hulu’s cross-platform social presence, and spearheading strategy for social initiatives while collaborating with agencies and partners.

Daryll Heiberger is the Social Media, Brand Content and Partnerships Manager at JUDY, an emergency preparedness brand co-founded by PR Guru, Simon Huck. Daryll got her start as a college intern with small fashion brands, Jet Set Candy and Sarah Flint, and then entered the agency world working as a Social Media Manager for 3+ years at Sharp Think– handling clients such as Benjamin Moore, TEFAF Global Art Fair, and IFPDA Print Fair.

As with many Social Media Managers in the start-up world, her current role is all encompassing and has her leading a variety of projects across content production, community management, partnerships, product development and branding operations.
