Meet the team behind FreshDirect’s innovative storytelling:

Katie Zapata is the VP of Brand Marketing, covering brand strategy, creative, photography, content, and PR at FreshDirect. She enjoys working with her team and agency partners on everything from ad campaigns, truck skins and customer bags to videos highlighting FreshDirect’s suppliers and April Fool’s jokes. She has been with the company since 2014 and worked in media marketing before that, last at NBC Universal.

Katie lives in Queens, NY with her husband, three sons and a menagerie of pets. Her favorite FreshDirect product is the jumbo blueberries – she always has 2 or 3 boxes in her cart at all times.

John Kelly III is an experienced photographer with a demonstrated history of working in visual media and e-commerce. In his role as Senior Managing Photographer at FreshDirect, he is currently focused on editorial photography, silo product photography, video production, studio operations, and data collection and analysis.
